evacuated calibre

Calibre used to be developed on NSA/Microsoft Github, this project is a fork of calibre outside of the NSA/Microsoft Walled garden.

Is there something that other versions of calibre has that you want? Contribute here instead of github!

Is there something that other versions of calibre have forced on you that you don't like? Don't add it here!

By popular request the stupid AI dropdown menu will not be added here (unless there is a non-default configure option to add it during compile time or something, something other versions of calibre do not yet have)

calibre is an e-book manager. It can view, convert, edit and catalog e-books in all of the major e-book formats. It can also talk to e-book reader devices. It can go out to the internet and fetch metadata for your books. It can download newspapers and convert them into e-books for convenient reading. It is cross platform, running on Linux, Windows and macOS.

For more information, see the old calibre About page.
