Pitch

The Social Web is a corporatisation of the fediverse that partners with Automattic (Tumblr owner) and Facebook/Meta. I assume you would be on board with changing the text in the explore feed to say fediverse instead of social web

Motivation

Social Web is cringe corporatism, fediverse is a cool word that makes me sound kind of like an astronaut.

even though i dont really code im sure i could work this out myself and submit a PR, but im away on a holiday rn so it would be a while before i do it

Main issue: These are strings that are localized, and any string changes for this project will inevitably end up requiring not only override files, but every single language to be adjusted. I have my doubts that I'll find enough volunteers for all languages I do not speak.

This is maintenance overhead I am currently not willing to take on.
